Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information Chino Residents Directory receives, how it is handled, and what choices are available. The reference needs no account and does not maintain a resident database about readers. Searches may be handled by a third-party results provider, while ordinary hosting records remain subject to the practices below.

Information You Send Directly

Names, phone numbers, or addresses entered in a search form are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result interface. Chino Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message and details you choose to include are received so a reply can be sent.

Ordinary Automatic Data

The hosting service may record routine server information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. This information is reviewed in aggregate to maintain the pages and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where present, advertising measurement according to the provider's own policy.

How Limited Data Is Used

Message information is used to answer the message. Aggregate server information helps diagnose errors, protect the service, and understand which Chino records pages are useful. Search forms are not used by the operators to build a private profile of a person or to create a resident roll.

Links to External Services

Pages link to county, city, state, court, library, archive, USPS, and other third-party resources. Following an outbound link takes the reader to that service's site and privacy terms. Chino Residents Directory does not control how an external custodian or sponsored tool collects, stores, or uses information.

Who May Receive Information

Hosting and technical providers may process ordinary logs to keep the service available. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above where those tools are enabled. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. It is not otherwise sold by the operators as a resident list.

Security Practices

Reasonable technical and organizational steps are used to protect the small amount of information handled by the service. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed secure. Do not send sensitive identity documents, confidential case material, or protected-address information through an ordinary message.

Visitors Under 18

The service is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly request personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information may use the Contact page to ask about removal from the operator's message records.

Your California Data Rights

Where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of covered personal information, with statutory exceptions. Requests about information held by this reference can be made through the Contact page. Because the service keeps little direct information, a request may involve checking the contact mailbox and available server logs.

Government records are different. The California Public Records Act, recodified at Government Code §§7920.000-7931.000, governs access to identifiable existing state and local records. Chino city files, San Bernardino County records, court files, voter information, and state indexes remain under their custodians' rules. A deletion request to this reference cannot remove an official source record. California's data-broker DROP program also has its own scope and does not erase government records.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised when the service, providers, or applicable law changes. The current version is posted here, and the effective practices are the ones stated in the version available when the service is used. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
